Kourosh Abbassi
General Manager
Having left Iran in 1979, Kourosh and his family swiftly adopted England as their home.
Kourosh started his education at the quintessential English boarding school of St Bede’s in the depths of rural Sussex, and it was here where he learned to appreciate English humour, culture, values and even food!
In the ensuing years, Kourosh has lived and worked in London and Sydney, Australia. Since 1987, he has worked in both outbound and inbound travel in many diverse roles in retail and wholesale environments. His varied roles have included Reservations Manager, Product & Marketing Manager, manager of various sales departments, Business Development, General Manager, and Managing Director.
Kourosh joined Sovereign Tourism in 2008 and is responsible for the overall direction, management and growth of the business. He has a passion for travel and enjoys visiting far-flung corners of the world such as Tibet, Peru, and Nepal.
Apart from travel, Kourosh's other interests include politics and current affairs, reading, theatre, and the arts.
