The gardens of England are unsurpassed for their beauty and variety, and are a continual source of pleasure and surprise.
We will create thoroughly researched, lovingly put-together garden tours for your groups. We can also arrange visits to private gardens, guided by owners or Head Gardeners.
Sample Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival in London
Transfer into the city and enjoy a Panoramic Tour.
Day 2 - London
A full day of sightseeing, including a visit to Hampton Court Palace & Gardens, and the Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew.
Day 3 - London
A free day in London for sightseeing or shopping.
Day 4 - London / Oxford
Arrival in Oxford in mid-morning for a walking tour of the city, including a visit to Christ Church College.
Day 5 - Cotswolds
Today, enjoy a relaxed day of sightseeing and gardens around the Cotswolds – an area of tiny stone-housed villages, and lovely countryside. Stop in such villages as Lower Slaughter, Stow-on-the-Wold and Chipping Campden, and also visit Hidcote Manor, one of the most inventive and influential gardens of the 20th century, and Kiftsgate Court Gardens.
Day 6 - Oxford / Bath / Cornwall
Journey from Oxford to Cornwall, with a stop en-route in the historic city of Bath. Arrive in Carlyon Bay area in the early evening.
Day 7 - Cornwall
This morning, visit the Eden Project including the world's largest greenhouse. Inside the artificial biomes are plants that are collected from all around the world.
Later, time to visit the award-winning Lost Gardens of Heligan; asleep for more than seventy years, are the scene of the largest garden restoration project in Europe. In the spring of 1991, the Gardens of Heligan lay under a blanket of bramble, ivy, rampant laurel and fallen timber. A year later, the restoration team opened the gardens to enable the public to share in the excitement of their discovery.
Enjoy Cream Tea in the Heligan Tearoom, before returning to the hotel.
Day 8 - Cornwall
This morning, you travel towards Falmouth to visit Trebah Gardens. This magical Cornish garden has 25 acres of sub-tropical plantings.
Day 9 - Cornwall / Stonehenge / Sussex
A full day, travelling from West to East, via Stonehenge.
Day 10 - Sussex & Kent
Today, visit Great Dixter Gardens, a charming 15th century timber-framed manor house set in one of the most beautiful gardens in England. In the afternoon, you will visit Sissinghurst Gardens, one of the world's most celebrated gardens, the creation of Vita Sackville-West and her husband Sir Harold Nicolson.
Day 11 - Sussex & Surrey
This morning, visit Wisley Gardens. The garden of the Royal Horticultural Society (R.H.S) at Wisley has become a 'mecca' for garden-lovers everywhere. It is a very beautiful garden with romantic half-timbered Tudor-style buildings.
Day 12 - Departure from London
Transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
